Why do we collect these data?

On the one hand, we collect data from you such as your activity on our website, your location data and browser and device type in order for our website to work properly and so that it is easy to use. We do this through the use of cookies (more on this under section 5).

On the other hand, when you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your name and e-mail address in order to be able to contact you again.

On what legal basis do we process your data?

We rely on two legal grounds for processing your data:

  • We ask the data subject's consent to process his or her data.

Cookies

We use cookies when offering services and information on our website. This is a file of data that your computer receives when you visit our websites. These contain information such as the language preference of the visitor, so that there’s no need to enter that information again on a subsequent visit to the same website. Some cookies ensure that a website appears graphically neat, others that a website application works correctly.

If you wish to block cookies, you can do so via your browser settings. Keep in mind that certain parts of the website will not function or will not function optimally when you block cookies. The website of The Forge VOF uses various types of cookies:

Functional (necessary) cookies

Some cookies are indispensable for the proper functioning of the website. Without these cookies, (parts of) the websites will not work. Functional cookies may be placed without your permission. (A functional cookie is, for example, storing the products that the visitor to a webshop places in the shopping cart or keeping track of your language choice.)

Tracking statistics

We use cookies to keep track of web statistics (Google Analytics & Nimbu Analytics). This is information about, for example, how many visitors visit the website, which pages they view, where they come from, what they click on, which browser and screen resolution they use. This information is not traced back to an individual visitor.

Content from external sources

The website may include functionalities of third party services to share images or pages on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or to run applications on the website (for example a live chat function). These functionalities work by a code that comes from these third party services themselves. Cookies are placed via this code. We have no influence on these cookies.

Who has access to your data?

The Forge VOF calls on third parties to carry out certain (processing) activities, such as hosting the website. We conclude a processor agreement with these third parties so that your data handles the same level of security and confidentiality as we do. Should data be damaged or lost due to an error, The Forge VOF is not liable. However, we do everything we can to solve this as quickly as possible in cooperation with this third party. Personal data will not be passed on to other parties, except where this would be required by law or a court order. All data is processed within the EU.

How is your personal data protected?

The Forge does everything it can to keep your data as safe as possible. We do this by means of HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure, abbreviated HTTPS. This is an extension of the HTTP protocol with the aim of securely exchanging data. In addition, we promise not to change or delete your data, unless this is requested by you (more about this under section 9). We make timely backups of the data to ensure that it is not lost.

How long will your data be stored?
